Daryl Fisher - Images of Mt Everest from 1996 (7:00 PM E. Australia Standard Time)
Daryl has always enjoyed bush walking (as such). In 1996, he got a message about going for a bit of a longer walk which turned out to be a walking trek from 5.500 feet at Lukla up to the Mt Everest base camp at near 19,000 feet. This was after trekking/walking for 23 days up hill and down dale. Watching the sun rise on the highest mountain in the world, rising another 10,000 feet above us, is an absolutely staggering sight.
Daryl took nearly 1,300 images on this trip - all on print film. Two of these images are shown here.
He has now digitised and sorted them to create a presentation of the best that you will see tonight.
